Mike leads five LRW business units that support much of LRW’s roster of Fortune 500 clients. He has a passion for delivering impactful insights to clients and for exploring new ways for the market research industry to thrive as an innovative force in the world.
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in political science, Mike started his career working for a political research and consulting agency in San Francisco. He joined LRW in 1995, shifting his focus from helping candidates win campaigns to helping companies win over consumers. For more than 20 years, Mike has been a true methodological expert, which he combines with an agility and passion that was essential to succeed in politics. He finds that political and consumer research are different worlds, but they both boil down to “humans understanding humans.”
Mike is Southern California born and raised, and he admits that he’s spent way too much time watching the Lakers, Rams and Dodgers. During the 80’s, you might have found Mike rocking his neon green swim trunks surfing the shores of Manhattan Beach. Now, he loves hanging out with his wife and three daughters in El Segundo. Mike is an occasional guest lecturer at UCLA, but only because his beloved Berkeley is too far away.
