Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications
Joan oversees a team responsible for developing LRW’s brand through a combination of content, digital and event marketing. She is a catalyst for the company’s thought leadership initiatives, including her role as the editor of the LRW blog and producer for sponsored events such as the LRW Client Symposium. Joan also secures speaking opportunities, media coverage and awards for LRW thought leaders. Her expertise lies at the intersection of marketing, research and technology.
Joan started her career at LRW in 1990 working as a researcher for seven years. She went on to head up the U.S. marketing division for Jafra Cosmetics International, where she spearheaded the development of its e-commerce strategies and platforms. In 2005 she returned to LRW, where she led process improvement and software development and served as interim CIO. Joan then worked on some of LRW’s biggest client relationships and projects as an expert in branding, customer experience, tracking, and technology, before transitioning to her current role in marketing. She received her B.A. in economics from UCLA.
Originally from New Hampshire, Joan is a political junkie, but is taking a break from it all these days to maintain sanity. She fills the void by attending all sorts of live performances — from theatre to dance to concerts. Joan’s favorite way to unwind is to host gatherings for her family and friends.
